#1. Main Street

Are you a shopping freak? Well, you need to visit Main Street. The type of shopping centers in this area makes the place stand out from its neighbors. This place is designed in a quaint, small-town pattern, and you can easily see the restaurant and cafe seating spread out onto the sidewalk.

Most of the buildings on this street are historical, some are as old as 165 years old, and more volunteers are working to keep it alive. Also, most of the shops are either boutiques, galleries, or antique shops.

#2. Chestnut Square Historic Park

This is a couple of blocks away from south of McKinney’s downtown, Chestnut Square; this place has what it takes to transport you back in time. You will understand how the older Texas community played and worked when exploring ten buildings that dated 1854 and 1930, respectively.

Among those buildings are a house, chapel, a schoolhouse, and general stores. And in the spirit of keeping those buildings alive, volunteers do come in every now and then to dress up the interiors with costumes that represent the services that were once offered there.

So, if you want to feel the 19th century Dallas community lifestyle, Chestnut Square Historical Park McKinney is a place to be.
